This seems to happen when sitting overnight in a rain storm as well as when driving in rain. I just got some clear silicone and filled that area full of it and it stopped. What should i be looking for to locate the leaks?

Hello all i have recently noticed standing water underneath the door sills on both sides after a rain, which seeps into the carpet as well. Its a 04 gmc sierra and it doesn't leak from the headliner or back window or seat belt it just some how collects in the bottom of the door and wets the edge of the carpet by the seel in the front and back passenger side i will check the firewall, thats something new i havent herd

I wish i had another set of hands to hold the water hose while searching for the leak. I suspect the seal the op posted, but i'm going to do my homework before removing the fender. I haven't found any trails of moisture anywhere and it seems to be saturated from the kick plate to the driver side floor. Any ideas or experience is greatly appreciated.

Its under the hvac evaporator, the water was back flowing down the drain pipe and into the cabin side firewall. Window seals, clogged drain at bottom of window in front. A leak in the firewall. Seal on the xm/onstar sharkfin antenna.
But, just because it is water you are finding in the front, don't discount leaks in the rear.
